Build Your Skills with Cross-Training

End-Matcher | The Eagle Eye

Nothing gets past you: Scan boards for unacceptable grade characteristics, remove defects using a trim saw, and smoothly feed flooring pieces into a machine.

Grader | The Judge

Examine each piece of flooring (from 8” to 8′ long) and grade each board according to its maple character variations; we’ll fully coach you on how to accurately inspect. You’re helping maintain our reputation for quality and craftsmanship.

Rough End | The Tripple Play

Center of the Action: Guide boards onto a lineal conveyor (surfacer feeder) Monitor automatic lumber transfer and clear jams (scanner station) Oversee an automated feed system and flip boards to make rough cuts (rip saw operator).

Nester | The Mover/Shaker

Keep things moving: Assemble flooring pieces (approximately 30-35) into bundles approximately 8′ long, 7” wide, and 4” high that weigh about 50 pounds. It’s a vital, focused, fast-paced, and team-oriented role.
